Wenn Jemand Fragen zu speziellen DVD`s hat, versuche ich diese gern zu beantworten. Auch würde ich mich sehr über Tipps zu DVD`s freuen, die ich noch nicht habe.

Ich weiß zwar nicht, ob Dich das musikalisch interessiert, aber da Du ja viel Zappa hörst, könnte es einen Versuch wert sein.

Eine Frage hätte ich auch: Was ist auf dieser TD-DVD drauf? Auch ältere Sachen? Die neuere Musik von denen spricht mich nämlich nicht mehr sonderlich an.

Noch was: Was ist auf der Pink Floyd 66/67 zu sehen und zu hören?

Herbert Grönemeyer & Sinfonieorchester - Stand der Dinge

• NDR Hanover Pops Orchestra unter der Leitung von Nick Ingman
  Konzert 7.Juni 2000 in Hanover

Divas - Live 98 & 99

• Konzertreihe einmal im Jahr zugunsten der amerikanischen Musikschulen/Musikunterricht.
  Es treten immer unterschiedliche Künstler auf, teilweise in interessanten Duetts, die es so nur auf dieser Veranstaltung gibt.
  Um nur zwei zu nennen:
  Tina Turner, Elton John & Cher - Proud Mary, die beste Version diesen Lied's, die ich kenne.
  celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Shinia Twain & Carole King - Yuu've got Baby

1) von den Residents habe ich noch nix gehört, wo kann man da was finden

2) die TD ist nicht die Welt, mal übertrieben "Urlaubsvideos mit Musik"

3) zur PF 66/67. Diese hat eigentlich nur historischen Wert, zum einen wird ein Film gezeigt, dann auch einige Interviews mit anderen Künstlern, ein bisschen Club-Nightlive, aber es gibt auch Barret zu sehen

Die Residents sind Video-KÜNSTLER. Sie haben schon in den frühen 70ern mit dem Medium gearbeitet, als andere noch gar nicht wussten, was Video überhaupt ist.

Ach so, das ist diese "Tonite Let's All Make Love in London"-Sache. Das fände ich schon interessant auf DVD. Diese beiden langen Tracks von Pink Floyd habe ich auf LP (mono), gefallen mir sehr gut.

Filmed in San Francisco 29th April 1970 featuring live performances of:

• Careful with that Axe Eugene
• Set The Controls for the Heart of the Su

This is the holy grail for Pink Floyd fans, the only known footage of Pink Floyd performing for television in the seventies !

Shortly before the band released Atom Heart Mother, the band performed their current set for the cameras of public broadcasters KQED.

The original master was thought to have been lost ... moreand the surviving footage has long been the preserve of bootleggers.

This is the first time KQED has given their official consent to the release of the footage - essential viewing for any Pink Floyd fan.

Wenn ich mir Bootlegs aus der Zeit anhöre, muss ich schon sagen, dass Pink Floyd da auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Kreativität waren.

Bei welchen warst Du?
Ich war bei Wormwood (Open Air Bonn), Icky Flix und Demons Dance Alone. Die früheren Shows habe ich alle irgendwie verpasst - da gab's ja auch noch nicht Internet in der Form, so dass Infos oft zu spät oder gar nicht kamen.

ansonsten, tolle sammlung! :T

Meine DVD-Musiksammlung ist etwas stärker in Richtung Singer/Songwriter, sowie "Edelpop" ausgerichtet. Auch R&B bzw. leichten Jazz, Funk und Soul.

Mit endlosen Gitarrengekreische und Musik die für mich an Lärm grenzt, kann ich nicht viel anfangen. Nach spätestens 3 Liedern greife ich zur Eject-Taste.

Sehr gerne mag ich im Zentrum eine gute Band, die durch ein Orchester unterstützt wird, welches mehr oder weniger Klassikbesetzung hat. So wie man es oft bei den Eagles-Konzerten vorfindet, aber auch bei Einzelinterpreten wie Rod Stewart, Elton John, Robbie Williams, etc.

Wie schon ein paar Mal geschrieben, benötige ich immer in Kombination: Rhytmus, Melodie und Harmonie. Ohne gutem Gesang ist es meist auch langweilig. Dazu gehört auch ein satter Chorgesang.

Eine sehr gute Musik-DVD habe ich mir vorige Woche gekauft: Chicago plus Earth, Wind&Fire.

Ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert ist die Musik-DVD von den Doobie-Brothers. Etwa ab dem zweiten Drittel kommt Michael Mc Donald hinzu.
